1. General Provisions

To attract more outstanding international students to apply to our university and to encourage current international students to study hard, Hunan Normal University has established the International Student Scholarship.

2. Target Students

1. Non-Chinese citizens.
2. In good physical and mental health, with excellent character and academic performance.

3. Scholarship Types and Applicants

Types: Comprehensive Scholarship and Single-item Scholarship.
Applicants: outstanding self-funded students who have studied at our university for one year or more; outstanding self-funded degree-seeking new students. Single-item award recipients are limited to current students and may not be combined with the Comprehensive Award.

4. Application Period

March 1 – May 31.

5. Application Procedure

Applicants shall submit their materials to the receiving office before the deadline. The university will conduct a comprehensive selection, publicize the list on campus, and then officially announce the scholarship recipients and notify the students individually.

6. Application Materials

(1) New applicants: "Hunan Normal University International Student Scholarship Application Form"; certificate of the highest academic degree obtained; academic transcript from the graduating institution; health certificate; for master's and above degree applicants, two recommendation letters from professors or associate professors (written in Chinese or English); Chinese or English proficiency certificate.

(2) Current students: "Hunan Normal University International Student Scholarship Application Form"; academic transcript; recommendation letter from the school/college; attendance sheet; original award certificates.
