The "SHTCM Foreign Self-funded Graduate Academic Excellence Scholarship" is awarded to current foreign self-funded master's and doctoral students at Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (SHTCM).

I. Applicant Qualifications

(1) Current foreign self-funded master's and doctoral students in their second year at SHTCM, including part-time graduate students who pay full tuition to SHTCM (excluding jointly-trained foreign graduate students);
(2) Outstanding performance during study, actively participating in various academic activities organized by the university;
(3) All first-year courses passed, with an average score of no less than 80, and all graduate assessments passed;
(4) This scholarship may not be held simultaneously with various Chinese Government Scholarships (excluding the Chinese Government Excellent Self-funded Student Scholarship), the Shanghai Municipal Government Scholarship for International Students, or the SHTCM Foreign Graduate Discipline Grant.

II. Award Standards

Master's: 5,000 RMB; Doctoral: 6,000 RMB.

III. Award Quota

Each year: 2 master's students and 1 doctoral student.

IV. Application Materials

(1) "SHTCM Foreign Self-funded Graduate Academic Excellence Scholarship Application Form". (2) Academic transcript or assessment form for the academic year.

V. Application and Review

(1) Eligible foreign graduate students fill out the application form according to the assessment notice and submit it to the International Student Office of the International Education College. The scholarship cannot be applied for repeatedly during the study period. (2) The International Student Office organizes the scholarship review, signs opinions on the form, and reports to the International Education College. The proposed award list is publicized for no less than 3 working days; if no objection, the applicant is notified. (3) The awarded student must pay the full annual tuition before receiving the scholarship. If, before disbursement, the student is punished for violating Chinese laws or university rules, or withdraws, the scholarship qualification is cancelled.

VI. Others

These implementation rules take effect from the date of promulgation and are interpreted by the International Education College of SHTCM.
