I. Application Qualifications

1. Foreign nationals; 2. New full-time self-funded international undergraduate freshmen applying for our bachelor's programs; 3. Completed at least one semester of Chinese study at our university and met our undergraduate admission requirements; during the Chinese language preparatory stage, passed all exams organized by the Chinese Teaching Center with attendance of 80% or above; 4. Not simultaneously holding the Chinese Government Scholarship or Shanghai Municipal Government Type-B Scholarship; 5. The "Golden Key Scholarship" and the "International Student Pre-enrollment Scholarship" cannot be applied for at the same time.

II. Application Method

1. Application deadline: June 15 each year. 2. Submit complete application materials online. 3. Applicants must guarantee authenticity, otherwise the award is cancelled, with all consequences borne by the applicant.

III. Golden Key Scholarship Amount

1. Amount: based on our university's Chinese language study tuition, excluding preparatory and other elective course fees; for less than two semesters, calculated at one semester's tuition standard; maximum referenced at two semesters' tuition standard. 2. Four-year bachelor's students with less than two semesters of Chinese study: 3,000 RMB per academic year, total 9,000 RMB; with two or more semesters: 6,000 RMB per academic year, total 18,000 RMB. 3. Five-year bachelor's students with less than two semesters: 2,250 RMB per academic year, total 9,000 RMB; with two or more semesters: 4,500 RMB per academic year, total 18,000 RMB.

IV. Golden Key Scholarship Disbursement

Following the principle of "old students old rules, new students new rules": those who obtained the Golden Key Scholarship before the 2012 academic year follow clause 4 only; those obtaining it from the 2012 academic year follow the clauses below. 1. The Golden Key Scholarship is disbursed from the second academic year of professional study. 2. Recipients must pay the full annual tuition to enjoy the award. 3. Each September, the university reviews the previous year's performance; those with GPA ≥ 2.0 (including 2.0) retain eligibility; those below 2.0 are suspended (not retroactively paid). 4. Suspended during leave of absence, not retroactively paid; eligibility resumes after return if clause 3 is met. 5. Those receiving written warnings, probation, or expulsion for violating rules lose eligibility.
