I. "Silk Road" Aid Plan Application Conditions

1. Citizens from the above Belt and Road countries with mutual degree recognition with China (citizens from other Belt and Road countries may apply; the college decides annually whether to include them), in good health; 2. Abide by Chinese laws and university rules; 3. Correct attitude and excellent performance; 4. After completing one semester of full-time Chinese or TCM preparatory study at our university (first semester not eligible), wish to continue TCM preparatory study or degree programs and meet admission requirements; 5. During full-time Chinese or TCM preparatory study, passed all courses of the stage and attendance ≥ 80%; 6. May not simultaneously apply if holding a Chinese Government Scholarship (excluding Excellent Self-funded Student Scholarship), Shanghai Municipal Government International Student Scholarship, or SHTCM Discipline Grant; 7. May not be held simultaneously with the "Golden Key Scholarship" or "International Student Pre-enrollment Scholarship"; 8. The four levels (TCM preparatory, bachelor's, master's, doctoral) may be applied for consecutively.

II. Application Method

1. Application periods: TCM preparatory autumn class: March 1 – June 30; spring class: December 1 – February 28; bachelor's: March 1 – June 15; master's/doctoral: December 1 – March 15. 2. Apply together with the eligible course at http://apply.shutcm.edu.cn. 3. Applicants must guarantee authenticity, otherwise the aid is cancelled.

III. Aid Categories, Standards and Methods

1. TCM preparatory course: 5,000 RMB/semester; bachelor's: 10,000 RMB/year; master's: 20,000 RMB/year; doctoral: 30,000 RMB/year. 2. Method: (1) college aid review committee examines materials; (2) publicize proposed list ≥ 3 working days, then disburse if no objection; (3) notify applicants in writing; (4) preparatory courses disbursed in week 15 of each semester, degree courses after student fee registration in the following January.

IV. Annual Review

1. Full-time Chinese/TCM preparatory students: pass all stage courses and attendance ≥ 80%. 2. Bachelor's students: reviewed each September by previous-year GPA and conduct; GPA ≥ 2.0 retains aid, below 2.0 suspends. 3. Master's/doctoral students: reviewed each September; second-year start by first-year academics and conduct (all passed); third-year start by second-year proposal and mid-term assessment and conduct.

V. Notes

1. Aid is disbursed after the student pays full annual tuition; suspended during leave, resumes after return. 2. Before disbursement, those punished, withdrawn, or failing to cooperate lose aid (semester for preparatory, academic year and beyond for degree students).

VI. Others

1. This plan applies only to full-time Chinese/TCM preparatory students enrolled after February 2017. 2. Effective from promulgation; prior inconsistent rules are superseded. 3. Interpreted by the International Education College of SHTCM.
