Henan University, founded in 1912, is located in Kaifeng, a famous historical and cultural city and the capital of eight dynasties in China. It is a university jointly built by the people 's government of Henan Province and the Ministry of Education, and a university under the construction of "First-Class disciplines". Over the past century, Henan University has produced nearly 600,000 talents of all kinds.

Henan University is a comprehensive university with 12 disciplines including literature, history, philosophy, economics, management, law, science, engineering, medicine, agriculture, education, art, 97 undergraduate programs, 43 first-level disciplines authorized for master's degrees, 24 categories of master's professional degrees, 20 first-level disciplines authorized for doctoral degrees, and 15 postdoctoral research stations.
