Founded in 1951, Shandong University of Science and Technology has developed into a comprehensive university with a strong engineering discipline, distinct industry characteristics, and multiple disciplines interpenetrating and developing in coordination, including engineering, science, management, literature, law, economics, and art. Shandong University of Science and Technology is a key university in Shandong Province that focuses on cultivating applied basic talents. The school operates in Qingdao, Tai 'an and Jinan, and has 19 colleges, 9 teaching departments, 4 research institutes and 1 independent college. There are 9 postdoctoral research stations; 33 doctoral programs, 131 master's programs, 84 undergraduate programs. The school has been actively engaged in international exchanges and cooperation and has taken the path of internationalization of education. It has established exchange and cooperation relations with more than 120 universities and research institutions in 23 countries and regions including the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Japan, Germany, Russia, France, etc. There are 6 Sino-foreign joint laboratories and more than 50 international science and technology cooperation projects.
