Wuhan University of Technology is one of the first universities directly under the Ministry of Education to be included in the "211 Project", one of the first universities to be included in the "Double First-Class Plan", and a university jointly built by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Transport, the State Oceanic Administration and the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense. Over the past 70 years, the university has produced nearly 500,000 senior specialized talents. It is the largest university under the Ministry of Education in terms of talent cultivation for the three major industries of building materials and construction, transportation and automobiles, and has become an important base for high-level talent cultivation and scientific and technological innovation in the "three major industries" in China.
