Jiangsu University was established in August 2001 with the approval of the Ministry of Education through the merger of the former Jiangsu University of Technology, Zhenjiang Medical College and Zhenjiang Teachers College. It is a key comprehensive university jointly built by the people 's government of Jiangsu Province and the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. The university has a century-old history of education and a rich cultural heritage.
