Lanzhou University of Technology

Lanzhou University of Technology is located in Lanzhou, the capital city of Gansu Province. It is a university jointly built by the people 's government of Gansu Province, the Ministry of Education and the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for national defense, and a high-level university under construction in Gansu Province. Lanzhou University of Technology is included in the Basic Capacity Building Project for Higher Education Institutions in Central and Western China, the National College Students' Innovative Experiment Program, the Ministry of Education's Outstanding Engineers Program, and the National Defense Education Characteristic School.

The university has two campuses, covering an area of 2,307 mu. It has 19 colleges, 1 department of teaching and research, and a graduate school, Wenzhou Graduate School. 31,401 students are enrolled.

The school currently has nine disciplines, including engineering, science, management, economics, literature, law, education, medicine, and art. Four disciplines, namely engineering, materials science, chemistry, and environment & ecology, have entered the top 1 percent of the ESI global ranking. The discipline of Materials Science and Engineering has been included in the National "First-Class Discipline" breakthrough project of provincial universities. There are 6 first-level discipline doctoral programs, 25 first-level discipline master's programs, and 63 undergraduate programs. 34 programs have been selected as first-class undergraduate programs under the "Double Ten Thousand Plan", 19 programs have passed engineering education accreditation, 20 are national first-class undergraduate program construction points, and 6 are national characteristic program construction points.

The university has been vigorously strengthening international exchanges and cooperation, actively serving the Belt and Road Initiative, and has established cooperative relations with more than 40 universities in the United States, Russia, the United Kingdom, etc. In 2020, it was approved to establish the Confucius Institute at Vinnytsia National Technical University in Ukraine. It is a member of the Belt and Road University Strategic Alliance, a member of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization University Project, a member of the exchange mechanism of the China-Africa University Alliance, and a member of the China-Arab University 10+10 Cooperation Program. More than 500 international students from 47 countries are currently studying at the university.
