China University of Geosciences (Beijing) is located on Xueyuan Road in Haidian District, Beijing, which is home to a large number of universities and has a strong academic atmosphere. Founded in 1952, China University of Geosciences (Beijing) is a multi-disciplinary national key university directly under the Ministry of Education, featuring geology, resources, environment and geoscience engineering technology, and combining science, engineering, literature, management, economics and law. It was one of the first 33 universities in China to have a graduate school and was among the first to enter the national "211 Project". It accepts international students on Chinese government scholarships and Beijing scholarships for foreign students.
The school now has 13 faculties, including the School of Earth Sciences and Resources, the School of Geophysics and Information Technology, the School of Jewellery, the School of Oceanography, the School of Engineering and Technology, the School of Materials Science and Engineering, the School of Information Engineering, the School of Water Resources and Environment, the School of Energy, the School of Humanities, Economics and Management, the School of Software, the School of Land Science, and the Department of Foreign Languages, as well as multiple laboratories and research centers.
Since its establishment, China University of Geosciences (Beijing) has produced more than 40,000 graduates, among whom 26 have become academicians and one has become the premier of the state.
The levels of international students that our university can accept include doctoral students, master's students, undergraduates, Chinese language students, advanced students and regular students.
Graduate and undergraduate students start their studies in September each year and apply by the end of June. Language students have two sessions each year, in March and September, and sign up before the start of the term.
