Anshan Normal University

Anshan Normal University is located in Anshan City, Liaoning Province, an outstanding tourist city with the world 's first Jade Buddha, Asia' s famous hot springs, national scenic spot Qianshan, China 's jade capital and China' s steel capital. It is a multi-disciplinary public university covering eight major categories including literature, science, education, history, management, law, engineering and art.

Founded in 1958, the university is a recipient of Chinese government scholarships for international students and a training institution for national Master of Education professional degrees.

The university has three campuses covering an area of 750,000 square meters and 200,000 square meters of teaching, research and administrative space. It has 14 secondary colleges, 4 public teaching and research departments and 1 affiliated middle school.

The school currently enrolls students in seven fields of master of Education, namely preschool education and subject teaching (Chinese, mathematics, ideological and political education, chemistry, English, Physics). There are 49 full-time undergraduate programs and 45 higher vocational programs. The school has 1,200 staff members and nearly 20,000 students of all kinds. It has formed a comprehensive and multi-level educational pattern from full-time undergraduate and junior college education to postgraduate education, adult education and international student education.

The school conducts extensive international exchanges and cooperation and actively introduces high-quality educational resources from abroad. As of now, it has established friendly cooperative relations with more than 80 universities and more than 20 educational research institutions in over 20 countries and regions around the world, and has carried out substantive exchanges and cooperation. More than 5,000 foreign students from the United States, Russia, Poland, Austria, South Korea, Japan, Spain, Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and other countries have been recruited.

Since its establishment nearly 60 years ago, the school has adhered to the motto of "Both liberal arts and learning, unity of knowledge and action", and has been committed to the educational philosophy of "people-oriented, quality-based, serving society". It has pursued an internal development path centered on improving quality, continuously established and improved the modern university system, and strived to innovate the integration of humanities education and science education to become a new type of normal university that is multi-disciplinary, open and local.

At present, the school is undertaking the expansion of its main campus, which will have a building area of 985,000 square meters and a building area of 400,000 square meters after the expansion. The construction of the new campus will play a significant role in improving the basic educational conditions of the school, optimizing the allocation of resources, enhancing the level of education and teaching and the quality of talent cultivation. At the same time, it will drive urban renewal through campus expansion and promote the improvement of Anshi through urban development.
