Liaoning Technical University

Liaoning Technical University, founded in 1949, is a national key university and an independent recruitment institution under the Chinese Government Scholarship and the Liaoning Provincial Government Scholarship. It is located in Fuxin City and the beautiful coastal city of Huludao, Liaoning Province, covering an area of 2.8 million square meters, with 42,000 registered Chinese and foreign students.

Over the past 68 years, Liaoning Technical University has developed into a university with nine disciplines including engineering, management, science, economics, literature, law, agriculture, education and art, 24 colleges, 109 undergraduate programs, 58 master's programs, 25 doctoral programs and 5 postdoctoral research stations, integrating talent cultivation, scientific research and international exchanges and cooperation. The university is a prestigious institution with well-equipped teaching facilities and a strong faculty. Since its establishment, Liaoning Technical University has produced 120,000 talents of all kinds, including a large number of renowned experts and scholars represented by academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and a large number of outstanding management talents of large and medium-sized enterprises in the country.

The university is well-equipped with teaching and research facilities and has an elegant learning and living environment. The modern library has a collection of 2.2 million volumes. The natural science edition of the Journal of Liaoning Technical University has been included in CSTA and EI as well as the CD-ROM edition of Chinese Academic Journals, and was among the first to be included in Chinese core journals.

The school has more than 1,700 professional teachers, including one academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, five dual-appointed academicians, four Changjiang Scholars, and more than 1,000 people with associate senior professional titles. It has a national-level teaching team. The school regards the quality of talent cultivation as its life. In 2006, the school passed the Ministry of Education's undergraduate teaching work level assessment with excellent results. The employment rate of graduates has reached over 95% year after year. The school has undertaken more than 3,500 research projects of various types, including national and national natural science Foundation projects. Four achievements have won the second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award. The school has been successfully approved as a national university science park. In 2017-2018, it ranked 49th in the comprehensive competitiveness ranking of key universities in China, and in 2016, it ranked 74th in the national ranking of science and technology funding of Chinese universities.

The university has always pursued an international and open educational path. In China, it has signed substantive school-enterprise cooperation agreements with more than 20 large domestic enterprises such as Shenhua Group, China Coal Energy Group, China Ping Energy Chemical Group, Datong Coal Industry Group and Shanxi Coking Coal Group, and has 120 board units. The school has established intercollegiate ties and academic exchange relations with higher education institutions and research institutes in more than 30 countries, including the United States, Russia, Vietnam, Germany, Australia, South Africa and Japan. It has a "3+1+1" joint master's program with Lawrence University of Technology in the United States.

The campus cultural life of the university is rich and colorful. As the only institution in Liaoning Province, it has been designated by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance as one of the second batch of universities to implement the Innovation Experiment Program for college students. Students of our school have won more than 600 awards in various science and technology academic competitions held at the national and provincial levels.
