Shenyang Jianzhu University

Shenyang Jianzhu University is a provincial and ministerial co-construction university that features architecture, civil engineering, mechanical engineering and other disciplines, with engineering as its main discipline and coordinated development of engineering, management, science, literature, agriculture, law, art and other disciplines. The main campus of the university, located in Hunnan District, Shenyang, covers an area of 1,500 mu and has a building area of 480,000 square meters. The planning and design of the main campus embody the concept of people-oriented and harmonious coexistence with nature. The architectural form is modern, simple and concise, and the functional facilities are complete. The teaching area is a combination of courtyards in a grid pattern with an Oriental cultural background, which is conducive to resource sharing and academic exchanges. A 756-meter-long cultural corridor, the first of its kind in Asia, ingeniously links the teaching area, the library, the laboratory area, the office area, the living area, etc., creating a unique landscape on campus. The school has an open library, the first architectural museum in the country, a demonstration area for the protection of ancient Chinese architecture, a Sino-German energy conservation demonstration center, a multi-functional sports center, a tennis training center, and a campus digital information platform. The campus was awarded the "2008 China Habitat Model Award" by the state.

The school has 17 colleges (teaching departments) and has more than 1,700 staff members, including 581 doctoral and master's supervisors. Currently, there are more than 18,000 students of all kinds, including more than 11,000 undergraduates, more than 2,800 doctoral and master's students, and more than 600 international students.

The university has established intercollegiate exchange or research and cooperative education relations with over 60 universities in more than 40 countries and regions, including the University of Miami in the United States, the University of Technology Sydney in Australia, Don State Technical University in Russia, and the University of Sheffield in the United Kingdom. It is also selected by the Ministry of Education to recruit domestic visiting scholars. It is one of the first universities in the country designated by The State Council to admit foreign students, a Chinese government scholarship institution for international students, a Liaoning provincial government Doctoral Scholarship institution for foreign students, a Liaoning provincial high-level talent training base and Liaoning Provincial cadre training base The Master's degree program in information management jointly offered by the university and Benedict University in the United States is a demonstration project of the base. The "China-Finland (Nordic) Wood Structure Energy-saving and Environmentally Friendly Villa Building Demonstration Project" and the "China-Germany Energy-saving Demonstration Center" have established high-end international technology cooperation platforms. The university, in collaboration with the University of Transylvania in Romania, has established a Confucius Institute.
