Ningxia University

Ningxia University is a comprehensive university jointly built by the people 's government of the autonomous region and the Ministry of Education, and is a key university under the "211 Project". Founded in 1958, Ningxia University merged with the former Ningxia Institute of Technology and Yinchuan Teachers College (including Ningxia Institute of Education) in December 1997; In February 2002, it merged with Ningxia Agricultural College to form the new Ningxia University, opening a new chapter in the school's reform and development. Located in Yinchuan, a historic and scenic city on the frontier, the campus is filled with buildings, flowers and trees, and has a pleasant environment, making it an ideal place for study and learning.

The school covers an area of 2,938 mu, and the teaching and experimental farm is 1,890 mu. It recruits students from 28 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government. Currently, there are 19,668 full-time undergraduate students, more than 7,644 postgraduate students, 1,047 preparatory students for ethnic minorities, and more than 270 international students. There are 2,726 staff members on campus. It has a modern digital library and a multi-functional gymnasium.

Ningxia University now has 24 colleges, 77 undergraduate programs, 1 national key discipline, 1 national key (cultivated) discipline, 18 autonomous region key disciplines, 8 autonomous region advantageous and characteristic disciplines during the 13th Five-Year Plan, 7 key construction disciplines under the 211 Project, and 1 key cultivated discipline under the 211 project 8 Key disciplines of the 13th Five-Year Plan of the autonomous Region, 10 disciplines selected as first-class disciplines of the autonomous region for project construction, 5 first-level discipline doctoral programs, 26 second-level discipline doctoral programs, 26 first-level discipline master's programs, 163 second-level discipline master's programs and 8 professional master's degree authorization points. There are three postdoctoral research stations in Ethnology, water conservancy engineering and grassland science. There are 12 autonomous region academicians' workstations, covering 10 disciplines including philosophy, economics, law, education, literature, history, science, engineering, agriculture and management.
