Ningxia Medical University

Ningxia Medical University was founded in 1958, the same age as Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, and is the only medical institution of higher learning in Ningxia.

The university covers an area of 1,200 mu and has a building area of 293,200 square meters. There are 13 teaching institutions and 11 teaching and research institutions. There are 13 affiliated hospitals, 16 teaching hospitals, and more than 120 internship hospitals and practical teaching bases across the country. Since its establishment 58 years ago, it has trained more than 60,000 medical talents of all levels.

The school has 862 full-time teachers, including 522 postgraduate supervisors, 658 with associate senior professional titles or above, and 30.63 percent of the teachers have doctoral degrees. There are more than 9,700 full-time students, including more than 1,600 postgraduates and more than 300 international students.

There is 1 postdoctoral science and technology workstation, 1 base of the Ministry of Science and Technology and Provincial Key Laboratory Cultivation Center, 1 key laboratory of the Ministry of Education, 1 key laboratory of the Ministry of Education and provincial key laboratory, and 4 academicians' workstations.

In recent years, the university has been honored with titles such as "National Civilized Unit", "National May Day Labor Award", "National Advanced Grassroots Party Organization in Striving for Excellence", "National May 4th Red Flag Youth League Committee", "National Advanced Unit in Internal Audit Work", "National Model Unit for Greening", and is among the first batch of "Typical Experience Universities for Graduate Employment" by the Ministry of Education.
