Ludong University

Ludong University, located in Yantai, known as "China 's most charming city", is a provincial university with liberal arts, science and engineering as its main disciplines and coordinated development of multiple disciplines. Founded in Laiyang in 1930, the university was renamed Ludong University in 2006. Over the course of more than eighty years of development, the school has adhered to the spirit of its motto "Virtue, Learning, Innovation, Practice", worked hard and forged ahead, and developed the school spirit of "Seeking truth and Perfection, Valuing practicality and Application".

The campus covers 3,225 mu and has a building area of 1.03 million square meters. It has one national experimental teaching demonstration center for Digital Language and literature, and three provincial experimental teaching demonstration centers for computer basics, digital language and literature, and biology. The school has 1,488 full-time teachers and more than 30,000 students, including over 1,700 doctoral and master's degree students and over 1,200 international students.

The school has been committed to talent cultivation, and the quality of teaching has steadily improved; The school attaches great importance to scientific research, and the level of scientific research has gradually improved. Since the 12th Five-Year Plan, 177 national-level projects and 516 provincial and ministerial-level projects have been led, and 90 provincial and ministerial-level or above scientific research awards have been received.

The school has been committed to open education and international exchanges have become increasingly frequent. The school was one of the first 200 universities announced by the former State Education Commission to have the qualification to receive international students. It has established friendly exchange and cooperation relations with more than 90 universities or institutions, and has carried out extensive and in-depth cooperation in joint education, mutual exchange of teachers and students, and academic exchanges. It now has one Sino-foreign cooperative education institution, Ulsan Ship and Ocean College. The Loire Confucius Institute in collaboration with the University of Angers and the Catholic University of the West in France, and the Yantai Sejong Academy in collaboration with the University of Southern Korea; Four Sino-foreign cooperative education programs are jointly held with foreign universities, and student joint training programs in the "2+2", "3+1", and "3+2" models are jointly carried out with many foreign universities.
