Yunnan Normal University

Yunnan Normal University, located in Kunming, the spring city, is a provincial key normal university with a long history and fine traditions. It is a "provincial-ministerial co-construction" university by the Ministry of Education and the people 's government of Yunnan Province and one of the 100 key universities under the National Project for Enhancing Basic Capabilities in Central and Western China. Its predecessor was the Normal College of National Southwest Associated University, which was founded in 1938. A large number of renowned scholars, including Nobel laureates in physics Yang Zhenning and Li Zhengdao, have studied or taught here.

Yunnan Normal University has established intercollegiate exchanges with nearly 100 foreign universities and research institutions in the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam, etc., as a training base for English teachers in secondary schools in southwest China of UNESCO and one of the two universities in Yunnan Province that currently have the right to recruit students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. The College of International Chinese Language Education at Yunnan Normal University, which is responsible for the recruitment, training and management of international students, has recruited and trained more than 18,000 international students from over 80 countries and regions in the past 10 years.
