Chongqing Normal University

Chongqing Normal University was founded in 1954 and is one of the earliest higher normal colleges established in the People 's Republic of China. Its history can be traced back to the government-run Chuandong Normal School founded in 1906. In 1986, it was approved as a master's degree-granting institution; in 2017, it was approved as a master's student recommendation institution; and in 2018, it was approved as a doctoral degree-granting institution. The university has three campuses with a total area of 2,688 mu. It has 17 secondary colleges and 5 directly affiliated colleges. There are more than 34,000 students on campus, including more than 25,000 full-time undergraduates, more than 8,100 doctoral and master's students, and nearly 500 international students.

Upholding the spirit of the teacher, we have a new layout. It is also a national demonstration base for Sino-German (Chongqing) Vocational Education Cooperation and a characteristic university for cultural exchange between China and foreign countries in Chongqing. It has established friendly cooperative relations with educational institutions in more than 30 countries and regions, and jointly established a non-independent legal entity Sino-foreign cooperative education institution, Chongqing Normal University Chongqing Tchaikovsky Conservatory, with the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory of Russia. It has three country (regional) research centers registered with the Ministry of Education.
